COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

So... the Final kicked off on the afternoon of the 12th May 2024 with Ella Mason from Ely GC  and Miranda Brain from Lakeside Lodge GC .. plenty of top quality golf and at one point we thought the match was in the bag with Ella being 5 up..... however, Miranda is made of stern stuff and she wasn't giving up that early... on they went with Miranda nibbling back ... the 18th hole saw Ella 1up with one to play...Miranda tee'd off and was short just in front of the bunker ... Ella did the "practically perfect" shot to the left and it rolled slowly onto the green... the rest is history now as Ella played her second shot near to the hole to claim victory... Credit to both girls on a match that was definitely of CHAMPIONSHIP quality ... thanks to everyone involved for a great weekend of golf  and hope to see many of you at Felixstowe GC in June for the County Match Days - (27th-30th June)
