About Us

Our main aim is to promote and support women’s and junior golf within Cambridgeshire so that it is welcoming and inclusive.

We

  • support affiliated clubs in meeting their aspirations for women’s and girls’ golf
  • organise a range of individual, pairs, and team competitions – essentially there is a competition for everyone, irrespective of handicap
  • deliver a range of inter-club competitions
  • commit to developing and supporting low handicap players who can represent CHWGL in regional and national competitions
  • provide junior girls who want to get into golf with a structured development programme and pathway

As a County Association, we are part of England Golf and the East Region. We represent England Golf within Cambridgeshire by:

  • disseminating information about England Golf strategy, policies, and consultations
  • providing advice about the handicapping system and the rules of golf and responding to queries
  • participating in the organisation of regional competitions
  • contributing to course rating assessments
